The Lange I has an unusual dial with an unusual movement. It has the patented outsize date and a 72-hour power reserve. The dial is ingeniously laid out because its featured subparts i.e. hour/minute dial, date, seconds dial and power-reserve indicator do not overlap. The dial is in silver and the depending on the model, the hands are either made of blued steel or gold. The twin mainspring barrel has to be fully wound for a 3-day power reserve.

The Lange I is available in platinum and 18-karat yellow gold with a crocodile strap hand-stitched and fitted with a matching engraved with the Lange signature platinum or gold clasp. An option, the bracelet could be set in precious metal. The caseback is sapphire crystal with a view of Lange’s unique L901.0 movement.
