Omega hits the market hard this year with their new collections. Not only the recently introduced Globemaster collection received additional models (with annual calendar) and the Speedmaster collection with an impressive line-up of moonphase models, also the Seamaster Planet Ocean collection has been expanded with a couple of new models.

In short, the Planet Ocean 600M received new variations, using the Master Chronometer movements (time-only and chronograph) and new materials. From stainless steel to Sedna gold, available in three different sizes (39.5mm, 43.5mm, 45.5mm), there is plenty to choose from. Not only are all models equipped with ceramic bezels that have LiquidMetal and Ceragold technology, some models even have rubber merged into the ceramic bezel. Rubber straps received an anti-bacterial treatment for healthy every-day use. The Planet Ocean 600M Master Chronometer in titanium is also equipped with a titanium dial, for this awesome metallic effect.

What’s more, in early June Omega introduced a new line-up of Planet Ocean Deepblack watches. Based on the ceramic Speedmaster Dark Side/Grey Side/White Side of the Moon models, the Seamaster Planet Ocean is now also available with ceramic cases and dials. The Planet Ocean Deepblack comes in four variations. There is an all-black Planet Ocean Deepblack, a Deepblack Sedna with a Sedna bezel and other gold accents and two sporty Deepblack watches with either red or blue elements. All come with the new Master Chronometer certified in-house movements. Certified by METAS, a Swiss independent organization that ensures the rigid testing procedures and requirements are performed with positive results.

Last but not least, Omega introduced a Seamaster Planet Ocean GMT in 43.5mm with a bi-ceramic black and white bezel, to indicate day and night. Inside is a new Master Chronometer Co-Axial movement with GMT complication.

Luckily, Omega still offers a ‘basic’ Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M in stainless steel with ceramic bezel and rubber strap for those who want to keep things simple in terms of materials. This model is also equipped with the Master Chronometer certified movement, of course.

The collection starts at 4330GBP retail price.

We will soon zoom-in on each of these models in separate blog posts.
